New model rainbow

Hello!

To answer some of your questions:
Yes it is quieter, it is a little bit smaller, the optional accessories will be updated in due time, and at this time there is no public info on the new machine as it has not been released to the public as of yet. In all honesty the E-series machine in general has been around since 1998 (21 years!) its a tried and true design but it needed to be retired a long time ago especially with the fact that things are becoming more and more modern and easier to use.

Someone posted pics

Someone posted a pic of the new machine in a different group. I feel it looks like a cross of the ritello and a shop vac. At least it will be a minute before it comes out. @electroluxxxx do you work for the worldwide sales up there?

Retired

I had the highest black rainbow. I noticed it was not 12 amp like first of gold e2 2 speeds. It was more efficient quieter and a better vacuum. You say retired I say it set the bar high. I'm a Kirby royal compact and riccar guy. The rainbow with my Wessell werk probably highest cfm vacuum I have achieved.
I dissed on rainbow. I got a rainbow for $30 e2 12. I cleaned up and bought a new filter sold quicker than any vacuum I have sold. I got the black and fixed it. I had to buy my wife a gold 2 speed for my wife. It's her favorite vacuum. I don't know if it cleans better than compact but when I use rainbow it seems to smell clean and dust isn't in the air.
I don't know but I use strainer bowl clean out every dump. I'm sold on gold and the black was nicest and in my opinion if I were to buy a new vacuum rainbow is only vacuum I would buy. I feel it's the best vacuum on the market.
If you say retire shiz Kirby hasn't changed in 26 years. I don't have an avalir 2 and I will find one under $200 but I'm not buying a brand new one.
Once my internship starts as a plumber I may buy one and make payments. I know who to buy it from too. I just hear upgrades and its best even better.
I will hate only on old electrolux vacuums that look like station wagons. It doesn't mean I don't know there great vacs just not astetically pleasing as other vacuums.
Ramble over
Sorry if any of this was run on got off 12 hour shift.

Well hopefully Kirby

Will retire the G-series soon. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice generation but after seeing the past few models be a re-colored sentria (sentria 2 and both avalirs) it gets tiring of seeing it. Then again maybe Kirby actually has a new design but hasn’t released it till they make sure it’s officially what they want to present to the world. For all we know they could’ve been working on it since the first avalir got release. None the less 2020 is so close away and with that being said I would think Kirby would be coming out with something new, kind of like what they did in 1970 with the classic (start of the second generation) and then again in 1990 with the G3 (third generation)

Now back to the real topic of the rainbow. I hope they consider tossing in the power nozzle with the cost of the machine. I never understood why the power nozzle was sold separately from the machine. But hopefully they’ll consider putting it in with what’s already a high price cleaning machine. Also what are the MSRP for the optional attachments. I mean I know rainbow doesn’t post the prices on there website due to distributors having their own pricing method, but what’s the general price range for said optional attachments?

Pics in a group?

I assume this was referring to a Facebook group, right? Which one? I don't belong to as many as I once did, and I haven't noticed this topic coming up at all. Just curious.

Yes I work for worldwide sales.
@juju93
The power nozzle hasn’t been sold separately here for quite some time. It is possible that other distributors do things differently and I know for a fact that “old” dealers still say that the PN is separate even though it isn’t.

I’m also curious to what the new attachments and packaging will look like. And also the manuals... it’s the little things that count to me. I’ve never own and or used a rainbow but someday I’d like too.. I’ve mostly used Kirby’s (growing up) and as an adult I use a Dyson cordless (v7 absolute to be exact)

Sorry to go off topic again but I agree I think Kirby really needs to come out with something new and interesting yes the G series are a great machine. I just think they been out for too long.

The g series is past its expiration date

Yeah 30 years is a bit long. Plus seeing the sentria (2006) getting renamed and color over and over is really annoying. Hopefully when they do release a new platform it’ll be quieter, and lighter in weight. Because now and days more and more homes have hard floors and if you think using a Kirby on carpet was load it’s a lot louder (and it’s unbearable) on hard surface floors. A few things I would like for Kirby to change in it’s future models/ next platform would be:
1. No more looking like a sentria
2. Quieter sound
3. Lighter in weight
4.a redesign Multi Surface Shampoo System.... I say this because the current one is nice but it’s not convenient to use in hard to reach places such as under the bed or behind the toilets in the bathroom.
5. Maybe a redesign portable shampooer too

Hopefully Rexair did some redesigning with the tools and accessories for the SRX model that’s coming out soon. Does anyone know when this model got launch and how long it’ll be before Rexair officially releases it.

the picture

I can't read fully inprovements 14-18 clealy due to the man in the way. Can someone clearify that is said. Also how long is the cord on the new one as well as the size of the cord on the current E2 black model?

Omg thank you. If you post the link to the videos and stuff that would be great. To me it doesn’t look like much of a re-design. It looks like the E2 Black if you ask me. Also I do hope they make a 4qt water tank and a 14ft hose with this model too.

Hopefully Rainbow has addressed the poorly designed power nozzle. Based on the air flow tests that were posted by Devin (and others), the current model nozzle chokes off too much air flow. If you're going to charge nearly $3k for a vacuum, it should also clean at least as well as an $1100 Miele (i.e. top ranked canister in CR tests) in industry STANDARD TESTS. You should also have at least a 30-day no questions asked opportunity to return the Rainbow if you change your mind.

what I want to know is what improvements 14-18 say in the picture, as well as:
1. How long is the cord? And how long is the cord on the current E2 Black?
2. will the current E2 black attackments and accesories look the same as this new model?
3. will the 4qt water basin and 14ft hose be available with this model?
4. Did any optional accessories get changes? If so which one(s)?
5. And in terms of accessories, are there any new ones coming out that arent exisitng with current/ previous models?

This model looks very much the same compare to the current E2 black model. But according to the picture it has many improvements, some of which are being blocked in the picture. I do like the design of the box compare to the current box design on the E2 Black model. Also heres another question I have. Is it just the vacuum that gets an updated box design or does everything (including the optional accessories) get updated boxing/ packaging?

Still no crushproof hose? That would help to improve airflow.

No telescoping wand? And an expensive vacuum like this should come with two sets of Wanda. One for power nozzle and one for floor tool.

The power nozzle looks kind of flimsy but I'll wait to see it in person. And it needs to have manual height adjustment. They should have just went with the EBK360.

It's on Facebook a couple of videos and post..looks smaller as well. I am not sure why they would be so secretive about it as the whole audience is filming the debut of it.

beagledad,

why would you want two different wands? Thats what the E2 blk corrected(all models in the past had two wands/hoses....no need for two....one single wand does it all, just disconnect the hard floor attachment and insert carpet attachment for use.

I totally agree with you concerning a telescoping wand.

It doesn't appear to have a 4 qt basin if that first posted photo is any indication. :-(

New Rainbow Model

If anyone is in the Rainbow Vacuum cleaner group usa and others I had someone try and invite me but i haven't been approved yet.
I'd like to be in the group

I'm Interested in the 30% Airflow Increase

Of course they don't say WHERE the 30% increase is, which is typical. So that could mean the canister may have something around 126 CFM or the PN may have something around 77 CFM. Mmmmm, might be able to get up to late 1980's TriStar CXL performance then?

That’s all fine and dandy but the last pick of the SRX tools are blurry. Also what are the links to fb groups or what are they called so I can search them? And in terms of suction/ airflow I hope it’s 30% increase overall, regardless if your using the power nozzle, the attachments or the optional accessories.

How iroic. This is the facebook page that I found some info on the SRX model. In terms of information, not much can be seen. In fact the only things presented in a short 3.5 minute video and a few pictures, but nothing to detailed.

The video was illuminating....

I’m a little surprised to see that once again, they’re using a power nozzle design with the belt drive in the center of the brush roll. Wasn’t this a problem for some of their past power nozzle models?

I’m still excited, nonetheless. It looks like quite a departure from their past models.
