New Kenmore Elite upright

I reviewed this vac a while back, right after I got it I am updating it now.

The hose is impossible to work with. I called Sears and asked if they made a reach=out hose for this machine. They said no. I told them how it constantly tips over with the least amount of stress on the hose usually falling on you. She said on the phone bring it back if you don't like it.

I also recommended this vac to my doctor, and they bought one and it kept overheating thus shutting off after maybe 5 minutes of use.

I called a vac shop and they said being it in and maybe they can find something.

I use this vac daily at work and thought I had a winner, now not so sure...........

Would a pansonic upright stretch hose work? I know the intuition and progressive uprights have the typical panasonic hose with the J hooks - same on the elite?

Here is one from a quick google search - I'm sure others on here could better option - you could prob also visit a local dealer that sells panasonics and see if they have/can order for you.

I've been using my Elite every day for about 2 months now and I've had no problems at all. As you said, the hose is very short, but the extension hoses from the old Progressives will work on it, which is what I've been using. The one in the link above is the exact one I have and it fits fine.

Try..

setting the vacuum at an angle. Meaning it's in the full upright position, but the unit is askew, not directly in line with the extended hose. This will make it less susceptible to tipping.
