New Hoover SteamVac Model

I just saw this on HSN. It looks like Hoover is trying to redo or revamp the classic Hoover SteamVac. It seems to modify the classic style and incorporate the dual v suction on the bottom. I think it looks good and might be worth it. However as the video says its not yet available in stores and theres no mention of it on the Hoover website. I guess time will tell but it doesnt look to bad.

It's got a lot of visual similarities to the T-Series uprights. I wonder what Hoover's next major vacuum restyle will be?

I am almost certain this is a compilation of overstock parts. That's a V2 and MaxExtract put together, and looks just as such. Those tanks look terrible on that machine. We will see how long it lasts...

bagintheback that thought came across my mind too. I also dont like how those tanks look on there, it looks like they cut out a lot of plastic to help make it lighter. Hopefully its as good as the classic style which i still have and love. Its pretty awsome.

The handle and top tank release look like they're off a Hoover T2 upright. The nozzle, wheels, and upper tank are V2, the base is Max Extract, the bottom tank just looks funky overall. It almost look like it might have a better spayer similar to the MaxExtract 77 style model, with suction canal and attachment conversion of a V2 and it looks like their several holes on the bottom for Hoover's "Heated Cleaning" technology where hot air exhaust from motor helps dry carpet faster. I'll bet it does clean well.

I'd like to see an upright extractor on the market that scrubbed and had spray jets with a measurable PSI similar to that of canister extractors and powerful suction.

I think it looks dreadful, but I wonder how it performs compared to the classic spin scrub models...

I would say performance is about the same. Until they change the bristle texture on their spinning brushes, as I think they're too soft, speed up the brush or fix it in location so it sinks into the carpet more and doesn't float on the surface as easily. I love my Hoover Steamvac Widepath, it's easy to use and does an acceptable job cleaning but I'd be willing to pay a little for it if it did clean better yet which it could.
