Well it got delivered this afternoon, had to get one to see what it was like.

First impression, its more like a Vax Air /Hoover Windtunnel Air, than it predecessor the Slalom.

And you can see Hoover have learnt from some of the faults of the Slalom, it is much smaller and lighter to.

And lastly the rear view, this where you see some key differences, the side mount hose like on a Pure Power, the handle release control is different, likely because the one on the Slalom was crap. And there is no brush roll stop switch but it does have a carpet hight selector on the Globe...

It also come with the 5 Year Guarantee

Mark - Well done on getting the Globe - I added this to another thread recently- and thanks for the utterly helpful info. I had a Slalom when they first came out, and it was okay but it did have a few things I didn't like about it - does the Globe keep the daft variable suction outlet dial on the baseplate like the Slalom?

Well we put up with a lot of Chinese made junk, Dan, so don't be too glad. The Globe looks like a nice one though like everything else, time will tell. I see Argos have the base one/Globe 1 at £149-99 which is a good price, Globe 2 at £169-99 and Globe 3 at £279-99

Argos seem to have used the same spec for all of these machines, so it's hard to tell what the differences are - all of them come with a pet hair tool brush as standard when normally most bagless uprights offer these on MOL/Middle of the line ranges.
