Hi folks,
Stumbled on this webstite a while ago. I must say I did not know that so many people were seriously into collecting Vacs. It's a wonderfull thing.

Any way is there anyone out there from Canada that knows of any good picking available on line for some oldies, like Hoover convertibles, Luxes or Kirbys..?

Thanks

Welcome, Dean....

Ebay is pretty much the way to go to shop for vacuums online. Then again, there are a few shops that sell refurbished vacs too, if you can find them online....such as hillybillyvacshack. Just google it, they're easy to find.

BTW, both Dave & I have our own online groups on Facebook....if you're on Facebook, & you are interested, contact me via my email in my profile.

In Canada, I think you guys have Kijiji (I think that's how it's spelled), craigslist, and ebay, not to mention thrift stores, garage sales, rummage sales, house clearances and all that, you just have to get out there and nosey round... :)

I couldn't be entirely sure though cos I'm not in canada, I just now a few people there... :)

Hello Dean..welcome to Vacuumland

I am also from BC... Vancouver Island. Nice to see another BC person on here. I will be attending my very first VCCC convention this year.I think you will really enjoy this group. There is lots of sharing and fun! As far as find vacs,I use my local thrift shop , craigslist, and kijjijji.

Cheers,

Brad.

Yes Kijiji is good. I bought my Kirby G5,G3, and Heritage 84 and 510 off of it. I made a "wanted" ad for Kirby vacs and have had good success!

If you are into Kirbys I have bought tons of stuff from "Kirby Needs" ebay store. (kirbyneeds.com) Kent is good to deal with, knows his stuff, and has among the lowest prices on ebay.
