I happened to be looking at the Filter Queen site and they have changed the design on the canister. New colors and lettering. Looks nice!

Ooh! Very sharp. Love it! Simple yet elegant.

Now if they could just make a direct connect power nozzle. That's one thing I would change on a filter queen. Other than that I love them!

It looks so much better than the blue. What I wish that they would do is put a headlight back on the powerhead! Rainbow finally did!

And go back to the METAL tank and more powerful motor. The older models had more powerful motors than the new ones-checked with a Baird guage.I think a brushed stainless steel tank would be VERY attractive!-and more durable.

are they...

imitating Rainbow, who have yet to update their website with the new model?

Direct Connect PN....

Filter Queen's Power Nozzle is direct connect and has been since the Blue Majestic 75th anniversary.

Thank you Christopher

I was just about to say that !
Look`s like another Filter Queen I will be adding to my collection , This is really a nice design , Seem`s like Black is the new D2D color just like my new Rainbow Onyx . Black is the only color car I drive both of my German lead sleds are black beauties.Hurry up Kirby all the other D2D models are updated but no you have to wait until 2014 ????

They Need!

To go back to the old tools and curved wand, those tools now dont compare in my opinion.

Hey Chris. I did make a mistake writing that. I was meaning the hose to the machine connection would be nice if it were direct connect.

I didn't know the power nozzle was direct though.

New Filter Queen color design

Well I agree with what has been said about the Filter Queen. I have a very nice dark brown & chrome Filter Queen that came from a friend in the vac club. I love the machine but it's just too heavy and the caster set catches on all my rug edges in use.
The new style tools look cheaper and less distinctive and with no direct connect hose,no light on the power nozzle and the new cheaper looking power switch on top really doesn't make me want to buy a new one although the new design on the dirt container looks nice. I also have noticed the power cord on my machine is too short and it is not the cord winder model. It looks like they are not offering as standard equipment the S wands with the regular carpet and felt floor duster which you would think would be a strong selling point with customers using more hardwood floors today.
Almost like the new Lux Guardian. They went backwards by removing the 3 speed motor control, covered tool storage, shorter power cord, old style cord winder, smaller bag capacity, louder motor,no more flip over rug and floor tool. It looks like the Lux 2100 I bought on QVC for $349.00 years ago.
I sure hope Kirby does not go in this direction with the new model.
