Hi Dave very sweet looking cat. He is a Tabbby type I have the same cat mine thinks he is a Dog S)) Sweet. My Vet told me that for some reason they are very sweet. I hope he is a INDOOR CAT He will live 2-3 years longer by staying inside. Enjoy that sweet boy Doug
I have a new addition of my own. Her name is Pinot, as in pinot noir (the 't' is silent) and she's about nine months old. This little cutie came to live with me Wednesday and is quickly making herself at home, much to the consternation of my six-year-old calico Lily (photo 3), who is less than pleased with the idea of sharing accommodations with a newcomer. But Pinot is making a conscious decision to have a good attitude, regardless of how much Lily hisses and growls at her. She just lays there and washes herself, seemingly fully aware she doesn't have to come to every fight she's invited to. I'm sure they'll work it out in time.
Vet today at 2:30, still has this forever hair ball cough? Still loose stools but a distressed Saturday, felt a fever. I think hairball was moving and blocked him up, hope to find out for sure.
That happened to my little Harold. It took a while. I boiled chicken and rice for him for weeks.
Hope all is well.
Harold just turned ONE !!
And, poor Arthur was dead a YEAR yesterday.
Vet took pics, no hair ball, but a lung noise, probably not pneumonia but working on it, not a hair ball, they took pics. Said lower gi distress also. Shot, 2 different meds for a week, $307.
Yeah, those vet bills can really add up. Pinot needs to go in for her second round of shots shortly. The folks I got her from had done the first round and gotten her spayed so that's a $280 expense I managed to avoid. Very generous of them, I must say.
After a week together, my two are beginning to forge a fragile peace. They're not snuggling up together yet, but they have managed to stay on the bed together for a short while, albeit on opposite sides of a pile of laundry I was folding.
I experienced a minor miracle this morning when I woke up to find both cats asleep on the bed with me. Pinot was up near the head on the left and Lily was down at the foot on the right, almost as far apart as they could get and still be on the same bed, but I'll take it. It almost makes up for them waking me up in the wee hours of Saturday morning, fighting in the bathtub.
My living room is full of boxes. I have 3 wreathes up so far.
I'm putting up all 4 trees this year. Let's see what "Hurricane" Harold does. It'll be "Baby's first Christmas". There'll be spray bottles near each tree, I think.
