It looks like Dyson has launched several new machines in the last week. Can’t believe how small their new suction motor is! Quite amazing….though you will probably need to pay a high price for this new compact motor…see link below….

Im so glad they came out with the gen5 model. I didn't expect to get a gen5 outsize model as well. If my current v11 outsize wasn't in the best condition I would upgrade but I have no reason to. I do like the new mop attachment (the submarine) that is also getting launched as well. This new mop attachment will help increase sales for the cordless market and also it will help consumers not having to spend so much on swiffer refills and other mopping brand refills. I do hope that attachment is available to be used on older dysons as well. I hope the USA gets the purple version of the gen5 detect and not the gold or yellow variant in other countries.

Now its just time for kirby to finally launch something....... if anything.

A fool and his money...

A HEPA filter on a bagless machine is as effective as a Big Mac paired with a Diet Coke. People who fall for marketing tactics like this are pitiful.

High price indeed

Eight hundred and fifty quid - for a cordless stick-vac! Who in their right mind would pay that price?

A sealed system and the best HEPA filter available don't matter when it comes to bagless vacuums. It's a moot point when you go to empty it. All the dust and dirt goes right back into the air. Dyson only excels at one thing and that's marketing to impressionable people. Sadly that's the majority of the population. A Miele, Sebo, etc will actually capture the dirt and dust and keep it captured.

the robot

So far Dyson has not sold any of their robot vacuums in the United States so I wonder if this one will launch here, regardless, based on what the video mentioned, it's lacking a few things. It uses a camera for navigation, Lidar is much better than a camera for several reasons, it works in the dark and can create a map much faster, also the video did not mention the robot having a self emptying feature, whatever they will be charging for this robot, you can probably get something with more features at the same price.
