My question is this

Will Dyson just launch it on the website tomorrow at anytime or will they do a presentation online somewhere and then update the website. What I mean is will it possibly be up online tomorrow morning when I wake up or do I have to wait till like mid afternoon for them to do some type of presentation launch? The intisipation is killing me. I'm dying to see what this new model will feature and look like.

This may sound random but when do you think Dyson will step away from calling a v series. like we have had the v series for several years and the prior to that they went by DC. Do yall think they'll change the naming of the series. Also if they do come out with the v12 and v15, how many variants of each model do you think Dyson will present? And what do we think this "detect" means, in terms of its name?

My question is this. How are they going to launch the new technology. Like are they going to just update the website and call it a lauch, or are they going to do a presentation launch like what they did with the v10?

I hope when they do launch the machine(S) that within the vairants theres not much difference between them. One of the things i hate with both v10 and v11 is that within the vairiants there was a noticable difference. Like the size and cleaner head of the v10 motorhead was completely different than those of the animal and absolute variant. They should've just been the same size bin for all 3 varients. Now look at the v11. They shouldve just came out with the one with the LCD displace and not the animal option with the light up screen. They couldve made an animal variant with the LCD displace just with lesser attachments. The same with the v10 series. Does what I'm saying make sense?

To me this new v15 isn't woth all the hype. To mean its basicall a v11 with a fancy screan. Those new cleaner heads can be probably purchassed separately for older models. I'm personally gonna look into getting that hair screw tool, which is an updated mini motorized brush, for my outsize unit. What I personally like about this new model is that sit uses the same remveable battery that the v11 series does, which means the floor doc will also be compatable. What I don't understand is why Dyson skipped v12 and wen't to v15. What I'm also not a fan of is that classic dyson yellowish ornage color. to me the machine should just be chrone like the rest of the cordless range. On top of that, the iron wand doesn't seem to match it really well.

It really wasn't all that it hyped up to be. I mean I could go to dysons website right now and order those tangle free brushes and use them on my outsize model. Another thing I notice with the dyson tool selection on the website is that they don't have that new purple crevice tool with the light on it for sale or even being mentioned on its site, as well as that new reach under tool that allows you to bends the wand to clean under lower furniture without having to get down and turn the machine sideways.

Lets just hope when kirby launches a new model it doesn't have the same feeling like this one did. I mean i'm sure it will. Me personally was just expecting more out of Dyson with the new launch excite me that much. Now when Rexair came out with the SRX that was worth the hype and excitement and thats kind of what I was expecting from Dyson and possibly from Kirby. Speaking of Rexair, I hope they come up/out with something cool for its 85th anniversary.

So the big new feature is that is will have a built in laser to measure the size and counts of particles it picks up? Might have been better off developing an automatic brush roll cleaning capability...

@juju93 there is a V12 Detect Slim...see video below but nothing appearing on any Dyson websites when I last checked! Looks like it comes only with the new Slim laser fluffy head!

Personally think now Dyson are only developing cordless machines I can’t see them doing major big complete new vacuum cleaners every year! Especially sticking to one cordless form the stick format! If you think the V10 was launched in 2018 and the V11 2019 with additional V11 models later in 2020. Do it’s been 2 years before the V15 is now launched!

The next major vacuum technology development from Dyson really will be its own battery technology they are working in including solid state batteries! But you never know what else they may launch!

The link doesn't work. I'm starting to think the same think about the solid state battery technology. I say this because the v15 is using the same removable battery that the v11 series uses. Another thing I want to know about this new v15 is it still going to show when the filter needs to be cleaned or where theres a clog like the v11 did. i mean we know it has the coutdown timer but what about the other features that the V11 display had.

Try this link, apologies the other was missing a part of it!!

I believe the display shows the same as the V11 so clogs, filter maintenance!
One thing some have mentioned have they solved the issue the previous V10/V11 had. that when you empty the bin you can accidentally pull the trigger and cause the filter to clog!

Sorry that link is not working!! It’s cutting some of it off as I post the message!

If you search on YouTube ‘Dyson V12 Detect Slim’ you’ll find the video, it’s not an official one by Dyson though!
