Greetings Everyone, I'm just getting started with this hobby and, unfortunately, I am having trouble finding a few nice machines to get the ball rolling. I'm looking for a few Hoover uprights, 1930's vintage (a 26 hopefully) and maybe a couple 1960's convertibles. Is there anyone out there who can help me out? Seems that many of the ones found on eBay are pretty rough and I'm looking for just a few really special "keepers" to begin a collection with.

I hope to hear from you, and thanks!!

Hoovers for sale...

I've got 2 convertibles if you're interested! A Hoover serviced 1070 in almost new shape and a 707. Pea green, lo hood with wacky green/yellow bag.
Both $60.00 plus shipping which is around $35.00

Email is gr1154eg@yahoo.

Still Looking...

Well friends, so far I've found ONE machine, maybe two. I have given up on finding a 26, still holding hope for a 704, a 70 or another 60s convertible in nice original condition.

I've got cash in hand, is there anyone out there who can help me get started? Shoot me an email, I'll be watching for your reply!!

Did you decide against the 704 at the Shop?
26's are out there...I have a friend who might be able to help you out.

Hi Andy...

Bob still hasn't been able to get me any photos but he says it's not a 704. He also told me that the motor bearings are close to shot and the bag has a couple torn snaps. I'll know more for sure if I can get the pics.

I'll see if I can get in touch with Chris in the meantime, thanks for the tip!!

Ohiovac..

I am also a fairly new collector. I wouldn't mind taking that green Eureka or a dial a matic off your hands, how much would each cost?
