New Chinese Vacuum Cleaner-What The Heck Is It?

I paid $6.20 for this thing today in Goodwill. It was irresistable. I can't find a brand name on it anywhere. I did see a tiny little blip that said Intertek, but I don't think that's the brand name. It comes apart, has a big filter, and a smaller round one on the suction piece. It works pretty well for such a tiny thing. I tried it on the carpet, I'll stick with the Hoovers. It'll be good for the cars and the kitchen and bath. It's got a working cord reel and an on wand tool caddy.

to our Morphy Richards 'el-cheapo' cleaners (were they called 'Pod', or something?).

As you say, fine for the car and nooks 'n' crannies, but not much else.

That's getting close, cute little Pod too. It's strange, mine has the working cord reel in it. My Hoover Futura cord reel doesn't work.

I have one of those, got it wal mart 2 years ago for twenty dollar. Good suction when empty but..... clogs too soon.

YUp Goodwill really got you. Here on BlackFriday which was the time they were sellling them at 7 they were down to about 5 bucks. But My gram haad one and used it often. Theyre called a durabrand compact canister.

I so seldom go into Wal-Mart, hate the crowds for one thing. I think my housemate has a Durabrand CD radio portable. The CD player quit working.

In the UK, that's a bog standard design that Morphy Richards, Dirt Devil, Vax and so many supermarket and catalogue owned brands have used. The most popular was the 'Morphy Richards POD Vac' in green and purple (similar to the one above).

I've seen vacuums similar to those in electronics stores in China. The floor brush and wand look exactly those from the made in China Electrolux "Tabby" I had that sadly lost its 9th life a little while ago.

I would guess it has its good points after all. The floor tool is pathetic, but the little wheels on the bottom are a good idea.

Sears had or has a blue bagless canister that would just break in half, had a good filter, and lots of suction. I would grab one if I didn't already have such a good everyday vacuum.
