Thanks Mark....here's another question for ya....

I am intrigued by the "suction polishers". I don't think these were ever sold in North America. Seems to be designed for use on European stone floors.....

How does the suction maintain it's "oomph" when clearly the polisher must be allowed to free-float on floors? I mean, there can't be much suction hitting the floors and the suction inlet must be sitting quite high off the floor due to the height of polisher brushes, unlike the floor brushes you might get as an attachment on regular vacs. As well, the rotating brushes must force dirt out of the path of the suction.

Do these units actually clean surface litter off the floor? Or do they just remove any dust being kicked up by the rotating brushes? How effective is this design?

Suction Polisher

I think they were sold here in the US around the late 1970s & early 1980s; not sure? If the suction polishers were here in the USA, where were they sold?

I saw a Suction Polisher here in the USA when I was a kid but I can't remember whether I saw it on TV or in a store. They are so hard 2 find!

Nice Finds..

Hey Mark

The brown 6525E was a Currys Exclusive as were all the 6525E machines. There is also a navy blue version (CO-OP)and a mustard colour one for Allders. They were the 1st plastic chassis Seniors we had as the Ranger models has Metal bases until the end of the U4014 in 80/81.

The bag on the Powerplus has been replaced, but the plastic top is original- the original bag would have matched the hood (same colour as the last U1104 Juniors).

Ive had a few nice finds myself lately - pics will be coming soon once im settled from moving!

Cheers
Seamus
