£6 later and I have this, it's zips stuck and screws in the baseplate are ruined. The brushroll bristles are the lowest I have ever seen on a vacuum but, it runs soo nicely and a good clean up will bring it back. I know nothing on these machines at all but it's growing on me rather fast! Not too sure if the power drive Is working to full potential or how useful it's meant to be. Information galore please, I believe it's rare to find such machine!

Living most of my life in arid places it is always surprising to me to see corrosion on things, especially household items like a vacuum. That surely makes restorations an order of magnitude more difficult.

Same here, even vehicles don't rust too much at all where I live. But I do see water damaged vacuums regularly, esp. older ones that have been stored in a damp basement or a place not well sheltered from the weather. It can make things so much more challenging! Some of my more rare or hard to find machines have such damage, it was disappointing at first but with some work you can really turn it into something nice.

It looks like a challenge! Based on your earlier restorations I'm sure it will turn out great. I really enjoy seeing before and after pictures. It helps give me an idea of what's possible. Looking forward to the after shots. Thanks for posting!

Just about any vintage vacuum I find has rust or some kind of corrosion to it, it can be a pain on some vacuums to remove! This shouldn't be too bad but I will need to drill out the screws.
This will be a long restoration, I think the powerdrive needs investigating as it works but not to the degree I think it's supposed to. Just the bag I'm worried about ruining as the material appears to be fragile although there is no holes. I have no idea where to start aha!
