Today I decided to clean one of our cars with the turbopower 1 with the pan converter hose, I know what you are thinking, ARE YOU CRAZY! well yep that is me lol.
I started at about four o'clock in the afternoon and didn't finish till about quater past five! it took ages, don't get me wrong it did an acceptable job when I had finished but when I use the henry or even the kirby is doesn't take as long, the turbopower 1 has good enough hose suction for cleaning carpeted stairs in the house but not for the very tightly woven car carpeting.

Did you use a mini turbo nozzle for the car's rugs and upholstery? That might have sped things up a bit......maybe....

Usually vacuums that use converter pans like that do not have terribly good suction, okay for a bit of dusting, but for vacuuming larger areas like the inside of a car, nah, it's better to use something made for the task, rather than a vac with afterthought tools... :&#92

I can feel your pain. Not that I have any personal experience with that specific Vacuum Cleaner but I know what it is like to spend ages vacuuming to little avail.

As for the turbo brush suggestion, I HIGHLY doubt the Turbopower 1 would have enough suction to spin the brush roll and keep it spinning while being pressed against carpets.

I have a turbo brush I use with my 2004 Panasonic MC-E8011 Cyclonic Bagless for pet hair and even the immense suction the MC-E8011 has with an empty bin and clean filters is borderline for keeping the brush roll spinning on carpets/fabric.

Ugh. The pan convertor - I remember it well with my lesser powered Junior U1104. Awful.

Over here, the only upright that may have sufficient suction for a turbo nozzle would be the Hoover Self Propelled WindTunnel Ultra (or Anniversary Edition). The suction at the end of the hose is tremendous - but the hose fights you too much too.

I have tried putting the sebo extention hose on the hose connector on the pan adaptor and then attaching the sebo turbobrush, you will be suprised, it spins it wuite well in the air but when you put it on carpets it does slow way down but still manages to pic stuff up but would would probably be just as affective as the upholsery tool, lol.

Yupp true, I almost always use henry for vacuuming cars but decided to try the turbopower to see what kind of a job it did, which in the end was good but took bloody ages!!

I sometimes use both, cylinder for the hose work and an upright for vacuuming the car mats on the floor in the upright mode cause it is easier.

I wish they would make car interior carpets removable all together so you can vacuum them with an upright on a flat surface!

On top of the installed carpeting in my 1996 Corolla, I also have removable carpet mats. I usually bring these up to my apartment and vacuum them with my Hoover Tempo upright! Does a great job.

You might consider getting removable carpet mats to put on top of the installed carpeting in your car.....just a thought.
