Hello,

I'm new to the forum, thanks for having me on board. I have a carpet cleaning business and need a powerful vacuum to use as a booster for my portable extractor.

Whilst doing some research,I was suprised to see that Henry packs a whopping 120 cfm and around the same number in lift! They are great numbers for his price.

My questions are;

Do all of the henry family use the same high performance 2 stage amtecks?

Is there a henry numatic, and just a plain henry? If so, what are the differences?

What member of the family is a wet/dry vac, and is he as powerful as henry?

Is any of them more powerful than henry, and is there a vacuum cleaner on the market that's more powerful than henry of a different brand for around the same money.

That's a fair few questions I know..I have been trying to find these answers, but it can take hours to find the right info sometimes. I have faith in experienced people's advice. Please feel free to tell me anything about the Henry range. I'm all ears.. well eyes :)

As a non-collector, but 'Henry' owner, I can tell you this....
The Manufacturer is 'Numatic', the Models are Henry, Hetty, Charles, etc. etc.
As 'canister' vacuums, all of them should be able to handle any small amounts of water which may get through your extractor, AFAIK the 'wet/dry' models just have a 'floating ball' device to stop the airflow if the liquid level in the canister gets too high. (like everything these days, the manufacturers have to make things literally 'Idiot Proof' :-( .). The Henry (et al) range are indeed very powerful for their size/cost, mainly on account of their simple, no nonsense construction.

I have no idea of the availability of machines or spares 'Downunder', but if you can locate one I think you can buy with confidence.

I am sure that others here with greater 'in-depth' knowledge will correct me if I am misinforming you!!

All best

Just a bit of a correction to what Dave said, the Wet & Dry models actually have a different motor as well as the ball float. The bypass motor is designed to handle wet pick up. The normal dry motor isn't.
