Whenever i try to run my 513 with the brushroll on its quiet for the first 2 minutes then a loud buzzing/rattle comes from the brushroller. It has a fresh belt installed.
Need help with a kirby 513 brushroll

Sounds like it's either the brushroll bearings are shot, or there's something caught in the fan area that's making the noise.
Have you checked whether or not your brush roll's bearings have seized (as kirbylux77 said), or if your motor fan is broken (missing or chipped blades)?

If it's an original 513 brush roll it would have a bronze sleeve that the brush roll shaft would go through. The shaft will go into the end caps and be held in place by the adjustment screws.
1. If you gave the bronze bearing a little oil it might help
2. Have you taken the shaft out and cleaned it?
As it heats up with use it may be gumming up and you're hearing the brush roll sticking.
