Hi All- I would like to get some opinions on power nozzles. I have a chance to buy either a Hoover quadraflex or a Eureka roto-matic power team nozzle with the Vibra Groomer II. I want to adapt it to use with my central vac system.
I can't believe how expensive central vac power nozzles are....even on ebay....so, thought i would find a good used canister nozzle.
Looking forward to any opinions on the two mentioned above or maybe another brand/model.

Thanks,
Michael

Micheal,
Keep in mind this opinion is coming from a long time vac repair/sales person. Who has had a major history with
Eureka but I would recomend a good Hoover quadraflex
nozzle! For sure. It would possibily have an on/off
switch on it too!
My opinon on performance and carpet grooming.
If you have any other questions let me know.

Michael,

I have the Wessel-Werk EBK-340 power nozzle for my central vacuum. It is by far, the best power nozzle I have ever used. I have very difficult carpet, it is plush cut-pile carpet, but it is a lower cut-pile and is very, very dense. I tried many differrent power nozzles including electrolux, both old and new, Kenmore, and lindhaus. The WW EBK-340 is the only one that I found that will lift the pile when vacuuming against the grain. Since the morons who installed the carpet in my house put it all in backwards so you can not vacuum your way out of a room, you have to vacuum your way into a corner, it was critical that I found one that would work. It is the same nozzle as on the bosch TOL cleaners and it is very close to the 236 on the Meile. I highly reccomend it, you will not be dissapointed. Check the link...I got mine from this guy.

good luck!

Andy

Hi Norm,
Thanks for your feedback...I have heard good things about both Power Nozzles, but if someone with a long history in the business & Eureka recommends the Quadraflex, that is good enough for me...I am going to try to get that one.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your feedback as well, I have also heard good things about the Wessel- Werk. Actually i could kick myself! Around last Christmas through January someone had a few of these for sale on eBay, Buy It Now for around $50 or $60 plus shipping! Well, I waited too long...I hadn't yet decided to get a Central Vac ...by the time I made my decision all of the Wessel- Werks had sold!
Oh well, live & learn i guess.

Thanks,
Michael

Lindhaus

I have a Lindhaus power nozzle with my VacuFlo system and I have been very happy with it. I had the Hayden attachment set and I could not stand it! The hose was awful and the power nozzle didnt adjust low enough for my berber and professional style carpets. I was originally looking to purchase the Wessel-Werks p/n since I loved the nozzle my Miele Red Velvet had, but it does not feature a height adjustment. The Lindhaus unit seems to be very well built and it performs well on the various types of carpeting we have. My other reason behind purchasing this nozzle was I got it brand new in the box on eBay for about $65 with the shipping. The only thing additional i needed to purchase was the wand system that cost about $30. The Lindhaus was also highly recommended by highly valued member of this site who has much more knowledge about vacuums than I do. I just recently saw the same seller which i purchased my nozzle from had some more NIB units up for auction, so you may want to check them out since they are a fraction of the retail price. If you dont have too much carpeting the TurboCat Zoom cleans faily well, as long as your unit has enough power, and they are inexpensive in comparison to electric nozzles.

Good Luck with Your Purchase!

Well, I just won this on eBay....A Hoover Spirit 900 model# 53271 with Quadraflex P/N.
Wanted the P/N to use with my Central Vac...I just remembered though, Hoover wands aren't standard are they?...hope it is not too difficult to adapt either standard wands to the P/N or adapt the Hoover wands to standard CV hose end. Any ideas are welcome.

Actually this is my first Hoover...so it will be interesting to use the canister as well........any info on this particular machine?

Thanks,
Michael

yes I had that same one they are very powerfull and the power nozzles do a fantastic job on the rug I have never used anything better than the quadraflex. I think this vac was made in the 80s I hope u enjoy it unfortuneately I had to get rid of mine. I donated it to a Flood relief fund because I knew that someone needed one..
