Hey, All--Well, after rebuilding several of these vacuums over the long Memorial day weekend, I have to say, that at the top of the list of my most favorite vacuums would have to be the Electrolux model XXX. I mean, I have one that was as noisy as could be, but after rebuilding the motor on it with new bearings and motor brushes, that old dude just PURRRRRS like a kitten! For getting the chrome nice and shiny, I just used a little Turtle-Wax Chrome polish and it shines like New! I never knew that XXX's are so quiet--They have to be the most quiet vacuum next to a G, suction on a XXX is really surprisingly good! I did notice there are some XXX's that have a 475 watt motor and others have a 535 watt motor. I presume the 475 watt motor ones are older. I'll have to post some pictures of my "Babies".
