Mystery attachment, but for what and by who?

Here is what may be some kind of venturi based sprayer thing. Seems to be at least '60s. Does anyone recognize this?

A very common accessory, just about all tanks and canisters as well as some uprights had a sprayer in the 40s thru the 70s, im not sure just what this one is for , these are used for insecticides, wax, or thinned paint,and yes it does operate on the venturi principle, the machine is set up for blowing, then this is attached to the hose, when you press down on the button it opens the valve under whatever solution you are spraying, these work suprisingly well.

It looks like sprayer from a Rexair. There was another piece that went over it to produce foam called the Rex-foamer.

Hijack:
It's really cool to fill one up with shampoo or bubble bath mixture and put the foamer on (I use the Kirby of course) and then fill the bathtub up for the kid. You get a lot more foam to play in that letting the water make the suds.

This same exact sprayer, surely made by a 3rd party, was sold with MANY tank and canister vacuum cleaners in the late 1940s and 1950s. I could rattle off a dozen brands I've seen with this EXACT version of a sprayer.

Good information above.Most AirWays seem to have had name on top center.Hoover,Rainbow,50s GE,60s Filter Queen and Electrolux seem to have their own ,more stylish,design.

I think my aunt used to flock her christmas tree with a similar atttachment on her GE swiveltop in the mid 60s????

The Tree Flocker was a different thing. You could get a flocking kit for vacuum cleaners at Woolworths and so forth. I used to have one somewhere around here.

I have never heard of tree flocking before. It looks like it would be quite a messy procedure with the flocking material going everywhere?

OMG

I used to flock our trees with that exact kit and that exact GE canister. It was a bit messy so I used to do it in the basement and then move the tree upstairs. We had blue ornaments and blue floodlights. How sixties is that?

Yeah, ok, this year... flocked tree, blue lights. now if i can just remember what christmas treat it is whose flavor i am remembering.... so many flavors from yourth i cannot place...
