Wonderful Lux Find

Terry,

Great Find!! And looks to be in spectacular shape!!!
I have very fond memories of that particular model. It was one of the first luxs I'd used in a very long time when I discovered it at the home of a high school friend. I remember being at that house "back in the day" (when her parents were gone) and vacuuming all the rooms on the first floor. (We had GREAT parties at that house, and of course, I lead the cleanup effort - the Master Vacuumer) It was a good size English Tutor with great burgandy, very short nap, tight weave carpet that was sooo much fun to vacuum. The PN-1 nozzle worked great with that carpet. Overall, the machine was so easy to maneuver, and very quite - it allowed me to go into my world. Can't wait to see it in person and do a memory run!!
Thanks for posting and see you soon!!

Pat

Oh Terry that's wonderful! It's an earlier one too with that power nozzle. I'll look forward to seeing it when I visit!

Terry that's a great find. Those 1205's are such a satisfying canister to vacuum with. The "Automatic Control" script on the front is so elegant. It always reminded me of the Cadillac my Mom had when I was a kid.

Mike my daily drive is my new stainless steel Constellation. That and the Beam central vacuum are a great combo.

Golden Jubilee - Model 1205-J

Fred, you said you weren't sure if you've ever seen a Golden Jubilee 50th Anniversary model. Let me show you mine. Take a real close look and you can see some subtle differences between the Super J and this model. (The handle assembly is slighty different on the read end and it is about 1 inch shorter than the Super J)

Side by Side Comparison

Jubilee on the left, Super J on the right. This will give you a better idea...Hope this helps some.

Logan,
Thank you for showing us the difference between the 1205 and the SJ. For us Canadians, we have rather limited access to these machines, other than purchasing through ebay.

You're welcome! I love sharing pictures and love looking at other people's pictures too! That is what makes this website very fun to visit.
