To be honest you're never going to get some of these. I'm not trying to be rude here...it's just the plain truth. Tom has been looking for a Model O Hoover for years for his museum and has had no luck.
Best of luck to you
Andy

I agree with Andy

I can promise you that you cannot get some of the machines on your list. Plus if someone did had a machine that is on your list that is willing to give to you for free but is not around in your area, you would have to pay shipping. I used to have a 560, I got rid of it because that thing had seen the end of it's life after suffering from the basement flood from the previous owner's house. To be honest, I would have no problem giving it to you for free if I still had it but here's your problem, you would have to pay about $65 for me to ship it to you.

Otherwise, best of luck to you.

If you can get to St. James, Missouri

I have a mezzanine filled with machines, many on your list, waiting to go to another home. I'll give you some of them. The cavet is you must come get them. You can see the Vacuum Cleaner Museum while you are here (and what collector wouldn't want to visit a vacuum museum?). Talk to your parents about bringing you at Convention time, second weekend in June.

Why're you guys being so rude?

This is a forum for people to share their love of vacuums, including things they're looking for.
Yes, Thomas's list is indeed one of rare vacuums. Do you need to treat the situation like you're the "mean girls" in high school? Considering most of you have not even entered high school yet?

No.

Be the bigger person. Tom at the very least offered to gift some if Thomas were to go get them. That is a generous gesture.

Learn from this young guys. Karma's a bitch.
I know i'd much rather see my Hoover Model O go to someone like Thomas who expresses actual interest in it over people who taunt collectors for piping up that they're looking for one.

Yes Kyle,

you're fine. Don't take anything personal. We're all opinionated.
I remember you on the Ellen show. You were about 11?
Your folks raised you well, and you have a good education.
Best wishes, and much success.

I do take it personally though.

We are a small community of people who understand how one another think.
We are the only people who truly understand WHY each of us collect and love vacuums. There's no need to take a small community, and divide it. Who cares if someone wants something rare? We all do. I get it. But in the end, they're vacuum cleaners, and there are plenty to go around for all of us.

Thomas

The convention is the second weekend in June, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. At the Vacuum Cleaner Museum in St. James, Missouri. It's always fun and a real learning experience. The only cost to you is for your hotel room (approx. $60 per night). No 'convention fees', no 'banquet' costs, just your hotel room and whatever you eat at the buffet restaurants we all go to. There is always approximately 50 other collectors, who share your passion, and can answer questions you might have.

I put the duplicate machines upstairs in the mezzanine section. There are probably 10 Electrolux cleaners, along with Kirby, Rexair, Hoover, etc. (I have a pristine duplicate 115 for example). You are welcome to pick out the ones you're interested in. With a few exceptions, you can have the ones you select for free.

Kyle,

don't ever change either. You are very passionate.
Most of us do understand one another on collecting vacuums, but some disagree on other things.
I guess we're not expected to met each others expectations. If we happen to by coincidence, then even better.

My own wish list

Well my wish list when it comes to vacuum cleaners would be like this:
1. A Singer Golden PowermasteR
2. A Golden Eureka Vanguard
3. A wild moss continental hooded Eureka Cordaway model 2385
4. A Sunbeam Courrier
5. A Westinghouse Convertovac
6. A Penncrest Convertible
7. The rest of the condiment convertibles
and last, but not least,
8. A Hoover 450

Might as well share mine

I usually keep a note book of records showing what vacuums I really like the most and I would like to find. Last time I added there's about maybe 250+ on that list, some old, some not that old, some easy to find, and some I think it's guaranteed that I might not be able to get.

But here are the ones on the list that I would desperately want:

Panasonic MC-V7312
Panasonic MC-V7314
Panasonic MC-V7398
Panasonic MC-V7341 (If I'm not mistaken, I think it's black. Some images I've seen were more greenish/greyish, some images were black, and the videos I've seen on Youtube were black. It's the one where one person compared a Panasonic to a Hoover Tempo and a Kirby Classic III)
Either a Panasonic MC-7390 or MC-V7380 (This one is tough because the Panasonic I remembered before a long time ago, I didn't remember having the smart handle feature on it and I could've sworn that it did had a foot pedal brushroll switch on it)
Panasonic MC-V7720 or anything similar to that model just as long as it's grey
Panasonic MC-V300
Kenmore Magicord Self Propelled Upright (Grey)
Last but not least, I would like to find out what exact Sharp Twin Energy model we had from our cabin before and I think I'm getting very close.

(This image is not mine)

NSS Bronco Wet-Dry Ext filter vacuum
Pacific Steamex M1 "clone"
Lewyt "Big Wheel" vacuum
I will think of others as time goes on.These are the ones that come to mind.

I have nearly all my wish list..but

I want a Kingston Germitron canister and a Kingston Deluxe tank with wheels on it, I also want a Lady Kenmore upright from the early 60s that is pink, I need a 1958 Lady Kenmore wand, they were different from any other, just a straight wand, but it used a twist connection, looks sort of like a drink bottle cap, I have 1 just need the other, the Powermate has its wand attached.it also is threaded, the hose end goes in and twists, totally different from the 57 and earlier pin lock mechanism.

Oh yeah

I want a pink Cadillac quick vac canister and a Cadillac Upright and a Royal swivel top with the wire dolly...

Oh No-thought of another to add to my "bucket list" A Sears Kenmore canister from 1958 or so-the wheelbarrow like one-it was pink-my stepmother had it.ALL the attachments were on board-was all metal.Seen pictures of these here. She would always say---"I so want an Electrolux" esp when she was using the old Sears and Dad was nearby reading a book or the paper in his easy chair. He ignored her!I liked the machine-used it when it was my turn to do the vacuuming on the family duty roster!

Good luck to you all

My son is a massive dyson fan, he has a condition similar to Autism and he cherishes his small collection of dysons. He is so desperate to get his hands on a Rotork Cyclon. I would be interested to hear from anyone has one of these for sale.

Sorry for hijacking your post, and wish you all the best in your quest to complete your collection.
