<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Here are my two latest acquisitions.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The Electrolux model XXX came from a garage sale.  It needed to be cleaned up, a few of the tools renovated and a new hose.  It appears to have had very light use.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The LX was found on eBay.  It too has seen very little use.  It was very dusty and poorly packed when it arrived.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Spa treatment, a hose, tools and wands have made it a prize.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Have been using them as daily drivers.

and the Boss seems to like them

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">She is not doing very well these days.  May be just a matter of time for her as she doesn't want to eat, sleeps a lot and not very active.  </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">BUT she still comes running when she hears the sound of either of my Luxes.</span>

The LX alone.....

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Such a pretty machine. </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Grew up with the XXX, but a few relatives had this model.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Maybe I'll bring these to the convention?????????????  What do you think?</span>

Those are beautiful. Are those replacement hoses, They look really good if they are. I have a whole bunch of pre 45 luxes that I am busy resorting and I am faced with a difficult choice, Put replacement hoses on so I can use them or leave the origional ones on which look lovely but the rubber inside is perished.

I also wonder if I can replace the rubber on the inside somehow

Those are beautiful!

I have a Model XXX, and a full set of tools for it thanks to Tania.  Those hoses look like the hoses that came with the Kirby Heritage/Heritage II machines, but with Electrolux ends.

The hoses..............

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">came from my local repair shop.   He uses them for all replacements.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Have the same thing on my Compact.

Driver Hoses

I have a few driver hoses for my mine and one of them is extra long. I leave my matching hoses for display. I found a great bojack electric hose that looks almost like the real thing on Ebay that I use on my machines with built in power connectors and a Hesco generic hose with pig tails for the plug machines. Plus I do the same thing with my grandmother has done for years I only use the powered hoses when I am using the power nozzle.

Gsheen: There is at least one product marketed in the USA for restoring the interiors of deteriorated suction hoses called PlastiDip. Here is the company link: http://www.plastidip.com/

If you search for the name on this site, you will find instructions on how to restore your suction hose linings. Unfortunately, I have not found a video which illustrates the process, so you may want to try it on a couple hoses that are generic or common in case something goes wrong.

Should your restorative work be unsuccessful keep the cloth suction hoses for display only.

I wish you well in your endeavor.

Thank you for the tip I never thought of using Plasti dip on the inside of the hoses.

Sorry a bit off the topic here

I am having a clear plasti dip sprayed on the front of my car soon as a stone chip deterrent. It is a trully awesome product.

Did you guys know its available in a spray can now too
