Some day I must get a tristar, we never got them in SA so it will have to be imported, I do like the look of the older ones though but they all look nice.

If a tristar is what you seek

Go with a slightly older model like a CXL or DXL they are better machines than the Aerus built ones, not that the Aerus built ones are bad but the CXL is the better machine

Hi

Hi David, I think the best thing you can do is list it on ebay. I'm sure it will sell.I sold mine a few years ago when I got it as a tradin. I can't remember what I got for it. I had a Tristar come in for repair a few weeks ago. It was the older version. The motor was toasted. I do like them though.

james

i thought about putting it on ebay but i want it to go someone who is going to look after it like i have done lol i know that might sound a little sily but there are so many people out there that might buy it and destroy it within a year, think im just being to sentimental

"The motor was toasted."

I do hope you fixed it, my CXL had no motor, and I got it running perfectly with a motor that was apparently for a Henry... :)

The motor I got (well, motors, cos I bought two!!) are ametek clones, and have tapered fins, so they massively improved the thing according to it's former owner, the only slight difficulty was the gasket between bag chamber and motor chamber, I had to use silicone sealant to "glue" the motor in place to secure it, otherwise the thing kept popping out of the back and landing in the bag chamber... :S

This was the motor I bought:

I see that motor you gave us a link to is a Two-Stage motor. Does that mean that my 2007 Henry has a Two-Stage motor too ?

If so I suppose that explains why it has so much suction from so few watts.

Oh

Oh Dave if I was able to I would of bought your Tristar off you but I have a few other things I need to pay for. I'm sure there are other collectors in the UK who will love to buy your Tristar.

Could do, it was a relatively recent alteration they made, so yeah, you might have the same motor... :)

I've never owned anything from Numatic, so I don't know what they're like on the inside... :&#92

You're not selling your TriStar are you David ? James seems to think you are, unless he means another David... I get confused easily so I could be just that.

Noooo, not me, "uksausage" is also called David, I couldn't ever sell my Tristar, I like it too much... :)

Ah, good good. That's like me and my Henry, we'll never be parted, unless somebody offers me more than a Tenner for him! Only kidding of course...
