And the after!!!

Taaaa daaa!

I had never had a Junior of this variety before... I didn't have any problem though, totally disassembling it and giving all the parts a warm, soapy bath... and re-greasing then re-assembling.

It's pretty similar to the model 115 and 13/14 lark, motor-wise.

Yay for Hoover Juniors!

The machine post-restoration came out absolutely beautiful, the after pictures really don't do it full justice!

Beautiful example Fred.

I wish we had some of the US colours here in the UK, ours are pretty dowdy in comparison,

Don't wish to sound picky, but the furniture guard is on upside down. The shallower bevel should be at the bottom and the deeper at the top. :D:D:D:D< Sorry, I'm just a perfectionist with my Juniors. Do you still need the brush strips? I found you a couple of packs out which I can post at the weekend.

Happy hoovering,

Clark.

WOW

that thing did clean up nice, now I will admit that I have never been a hoover person not that they dont clean well but I can never get the dang things to work somehow even when I had the motors swaped between two celebrities it still got screwed up but anyways the hoover juinor has always caught my eye and I have wanted one for a long time but it has always eluded me but enough of that talk I cant wailt to see your colection next year!!!

Lovely job

Like everyone else I think this has come up great. I guess its just the tools for it now?

Like Clark I think the 1348 is a very attractive colour combination, although I would not have noticed the bumper if I am to be honest.

Its one thing I find odd that the mainstream UK models were (as Clark says) a bit dowdy as models like the 1348 and some of the exclusives had very attractive colour combinations. Maybe they thought we had had enough with two (quite similar) green versions of the 1334 (or was it three? I have the notion that the 1334E was a little different from the Smoke Pine/Swedish Green 1334). Simon used to have a couple of lovely 1346 exclusives White/Green (a bit darker that the 1348 but not bottle green) and the beautiful "Challenge" in two tone lilac. The only mainstream green 1346 I recall was the seldom seen (and short lived) White/Jade Green version.

The did that colour scheme in the Connie too, Gary (Electron 1100 from AutomaticWasher) has a beautiful example of one of these.

Nice machine Fred, and your display room looks awesome! Can't wait to see it next year! There was just a set of the matching tools for these on ebay, hope you were the successful winner. I have this one and the final model of the junior, I think we talked about that. It had the complete set of tools, receipt from Famous-Barr, had that butterscotchy plaid bag. It now resides in a fellow members collection.
