If You Saw The Pictures Before The Bag Was Really Old And Ugly. I Also Removed The Bottom Cord Clip Because Personally I Like To Wind The Cord With My Arm.
As You Can See It Takes F&G Style Bags And The Outer Bag Is Made Out Of Silk And This One Is Going To Be Used Commercially [Work At My High School] As A Custodian So I'm Going To Have A Magnet Installed On It! Black Magnet Bar Or White?
It's funny you call the original bag "Old", because that's the new design for modern Sanitaires, with the Sanitaire name down one side and the "Commercial" bit in a box, and your replacement looks like a generic shake-out upgrade bag, which isn't made of silk, silk-screened yes (for the text), but more a synthetic silky-feeling material, if it was silk, it'd have cost a lot more...
And I'd highly recommend not using tortilla chips as test material, the oil will stick to the insides of the vac, go stale and make it stink, so, you might wantto strip it down and wash it out again before that happens...
I've seen restaurant Sanitaires (and other fan-first vacuums) with fans ground down to virtually nothing from the buildup of sticky food grease and other things slowly building up in the fan chamber.
Me as well-and even METAL fanned vacuums don't fare well with restaurant floor grease and dirt-makes a great abrasive lapping coumpound-and smelly-that erodes fans and fancases.Occasional pickups won't hurt-but oily food materials all of the time-NO.And the food grease and oil causes belts to slip and wear out quicker-could hear the brushroll belt slipping breifly in the video clip.
I Took My Vacuum To Get Serviced! At The Vacuum Cleaner Hospital In My Area (Turlock, California)and It Needs A New Brushroll Because That One Was Worn Out!
... would have looked like this, and its key features were:
*50-foot 3-wire grounded cord
*Heavy-duty top filling cloth bag
*Adjustable 3-position handle
*Heavy-duty toe switch
*Heavy-duty wheels
*Vibra-Groomer II
*6-way Dial-a-Nap control
*Protective vinyl bumper
*Low profile
Unless they're the cheap things we have which are steel-cored and then coated in their respective metal, meaning the currency we use ain't worth the face value... :\
There are some folks who have these magnets on their vacuums-problem is they don't clean the debris off the magnet-the vacuum then looks kinda like a scrap metal truck!Got a used metal Royal with a magnet like that on it-had to clean the metal stuff off it.Mostly staples and paper clips-guess that Royal was used in an office.
Ya I Work At A School and There's Always Staples, Paperclips, and Earrings On The Carpet And I Can't See Them Because Of The Color Of The Carpet (Dark)! But Pennies/ Coins I Pick Up and Keep For Myself!!
