Here's The One

That the vac guy in Omaha restored for me. A 561 with the fabulous "Starburst" belt lifter. And in RED no less. Red and grey. My earliest memory of a Kirby.

Dubuque! Thats not too far from omaha <br
I really want to start talking to the guy in omaha. Sounds like he knows quite a bit about restoring!

Thank you...

for all the generous compliments, but I don't deserve the credit. I'm just the lucky guy who owns it. <br
Fred dear... <br
Where did you find that photo of me?! Don't ya love my pumps and Danish Modern furniture. <br
I must take some photography lessons from you. Your pictures are much better than mine. Your 561 is stunning. I think it's even more brilliant than mine! Fabulous <br
BTW, some long overdue birthday goodies are on there way to you... finally <br
And, I know I owe you a call <br
Mike

Your D80 is just stunning!

This is Fred picking up his machine in Omaha. These machines are just incredible when they come back. Patience is a virtue but the payoff for a short wait is better than new. Terry, Fred, Mike and I all have machines done by this shop. The owner is a vintage car collector and has the polishing wheels in the basement of the shop.

The Dual 80 is beautiful
Also the picture you claim to be you vacuuming with the Danish modern furniture in the background is the same picture in Grandma's Kirby Classic book except you are vacuuming with a Classic instead. Why didn't you ever tell us that you were a model for Kirby <br

My heartfelt sympathy...

...goes out to those who are judging the Best Restoration at the Convention <br
You really have your work cut out for you <br
