This is the machine that is replacing the Eureka Boss. I am shipping out the old Boss tomorrow to the user who will take care of it. Anyways, I got this machine off ebay for $130 in total including shipping. I was very disappointed with this.

1. I think it is missing some small parts.
2. The brush is glued on tight

The positive note is, the metal motor sounds close to new. The motor is in great shape. It is worth restoring this machine, even if I have to pay for new parts, it is worth it. Here are some pictures. This is very rare, as I have never seen these older Eureka Commercial Vacuums as often. I've seen more older Sanitaires. I am surprised that even the bottom is all metal.

The spring - even when brand new - is very, very tight. You really need to clean out any dirt from each side, then use something sturdy like a flat-edged screwdriver to push on the wing of the spring and dislocate it from the metal button it's hooked onto. Wear some protective worker's gloves so you don't hurt yourself as you push on the green spring. Sounds like the previous owner never took apart the Vibra-Groomer to clean inside the end caps. The brush roll could seize up if a long thread got wound up on one of the ends. When opening the ends of the Vibra Groomer, be careful not to lose any of the little metal necklaces that goes around the central axel.

Hope this helps!

Wow, Im going to really have to do work on it. So now I am thinking nothing at all got replaced on this machine. Maybe the bag, but it feels old. Though I am not sure. I also want to put a Sanitaire bumper guard on this.
