I ordered a Patriot through Kyle (cleanairhybrid) and it arrived today. I got the hybrid machine with the touch screen just because when I buy something I like all the options
I chose the Sebo ET-1 powerhead rather than the Wessel Werk as I had a Miele Capricorn with the Wessel Werk so I wanted to try something different. I also ordered the Wessel Werk mini power nozzle and the closed top bags (6 of the open style Stormy bags came standard with the machine as well). Kyle was very nice and pleasant to work with. I asked him a lot of questions through many, many emails and he was kind enough to answer everything thoroughly until I was satisfied and decided to go ahead with the purchase. I think I got a fantastic deal . The vacuum was shipped from California last Fri. and arrived this morning. I was surprised that it went through customs and got across the border so quickly since Covid seems to have slowed up most deliveries.
I just vacuumed the main floor of my house which is mostly carpet but has bare floors in the kitchen, bathroom and entrance way. The ET-1 works great...pulled itself along like it was self propelled and grooms the carpet very well. It has 4 manual height adjustments with 1 being lowest and 4 highest. I set the height based on the instructions and that resulted in using position 3. I wasn't sure about the curved wand setup but it works well. This machine has a lot of power...more than any other vacuum I have owned. I think the Aerus Guardian Platinum will be put away for awhile. Compared to the Guardian's whiny power nozzle, the ET-1 is almost silent. It is also quieter than the Wessel Werk that was with the Miele Capricorn. I like the ET-1 because it has the L-shaped nozzle which is great for getting around table legs, etc. It is just a bit narrower than the Guardian's power nozzle so it lets me get in places where I couldn't go with the Guardian nozzle.
The 6 wheels on the canister body make it very easy to manoeuvre and it spins around on a dime. I am not fond of pistol grip hose handles but this one is smaller than any others I have used. I do find that the motor gives off a lot of heat, more than any other vacuum I have.
Here's a few pics. I love the purple colour.
