My new (to me) Hoover Elite

I bought an Elite model U4617-930 on Craigslist for $30 and I'm very happy with it. This is my first "original" Elite since before this one I only had the commercial version. It is in pretty good condition including the hood since there aren't very many scratches on it and the headlight works on it too!! It came with the hose and upholstery tool but it is missing the wand, brush, and crevice tool. Based on the sticker on the bottom of the cleaner, it was made in August 1994. It even came with the original owners manual which I thought was very cool!! The only bad thing is that there might be something wrong with the motor or bearings because it makes a lawn mower or chopping like sound if you can hear it in the video in the YouTube link below. But other than that I'm happy with the cleaner and I hope it lasts me for many more years to come (really hope.)

Nice Elite! I bought one new in 1993... one of the first new vacuums I ever bought for myself. Yours probably just needs a new fan.

Thanks!! I really hope it just needs a new fan because that is a pretty easy fix. Do you still have the one that you bought in 1993??
