My New Sebo Felix!

I had the Felix Premium Navy...

...which I bought at the end of 2007. I sold it mid-2008. It was a great cleaner, but it was surplus to requirements since I also had a Sebo X1 at the time, which had a bigger bag. My other small complaint about it was that the motor generated so much heat, I had to open all the windows each time I used it - it was like pushing around a fan-heater!

I think it's strange Sebo don't supply the dusting brush as standard - I think it should be standard equipment for a machine of this price and quality. I've just bought a Sebo K1 Komfort canister, and that doesn't come with one either.

I do prefer the manual height setting on the Felix to the automatic one on the X-series. The automatic levelling never sets the brush as low as I'd like it to, and with the Felix, you can get round that!

In all, it's a great cleaner, and it was only a couple of minor complaints which led me to sell mine. The sale was also motivated by my ongoing quest for space! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it - Which? Magazine (our version of Consumer Reporter) rated it very highly, and I found it to have excellent performance on most surfaces.

Hey :)

Congratulations on your Sebo purchase. IMO, Sebo are the best upright vacuum on the market under £300. You can't fault them. I have a Sebo x4 Extra with the dusting brush and super dooper long extension house as my house is quite large but I do like the felix range. Great for houses with loads of floor types.

Thanks Everyone for your comments!

Vintagehoover: Yes I completely agree that the dusting brush should come standard. It should also at least come with one wand. That wand makes the tool use soooo much easier.

The exhaust air of the vac is warm, but it hasn't bothered me yet. I like how the exhaust flows out evenly over the huge outer filter, instead of a concentrated jet like most new clean-air vacs. When you turn it on the filter even puffs out a little (kinda like an old Regina stick-vac).

I am very happy with the vacuum. I have almost no experience with Sebos (they're pretty much non-existent around here). I am very impressed with the Felix!
