My new Riccar Prima Power Team Full-Size Nozzle R50FSN.4

Just picked up a new Prima Power Team with Full-Size Nozzle
R50FSN.4. Like it so far great suction and compact size. Local sew and vac store sells and services Riccar. Also considered Sebo E3 and Miele. Dealer said it is easier to get parts for Riccar and they are US made. US assembled with foreign components would be more accurate description.
Runs around 11 to 12 amps with power nozzle, about 10 to 11 amps with nozzle off, about 25 amp inrush typical for a vacuum.

What model is your meter?

I would like to have a meter that can measure inrush current. My Kill-A-Watt, while very useful, doesn't.

Nice choice! I was considering the Prima and Wonder when I bought my Simplicity Gusto. I recently saw a Prima in person, though, and glad I bought the Gusto. The bags are too small and the paper in the HEPA filter wasn't as good as other brands in the Prima. It's a start, but needs refinement.

Only the power nozzle is made in America with Chinese parts. Everything else is made in China and arrives completely assembled.

The Prima is a neat little canister that's not too loud. Wish that the engineering department would have come out with a new model by now to replace it, as they were launched in 2014.

I wanted to like this vacuum. Good suction, powerful nozzle, adjustable speed/ power, and HEPA filter. It was very noisy the metal roller and plate didn't do it any favors. HEPA filter should have a gasket on the filter, not the machine. Power button and speed control are on the canister instead of the hose handle, three-year warranty is a little short and predicted reliability is low. Ended up returning it, too many flaws and questionable quality.

Ordered a Sebo E3 from Sebo US online store. With no tax charges for shipments outside of Colorado Sebo E3 was very close in price. Expecting to keep it for a long time and easier serviceably of Sebo was a big draw.

controls in the hose

I have the Prima, it is a nice little canister. I don't consider the controls not being on the hose to be a bad thing. That requires circuit boards, just more components to fail.

I've sold both the Prima and the Wonder before. They're not close to Miele in terms of quality, reliability, and filtration but I think they're still great performing canisters regardless.
