So yesterday I purchased a Sentria 2 a 2015 model, I decided to give it another try.

This time around i'm liking it much more!
Yes it's a heavy bulky machine but the tech drive makes it a delight to use, it is effortless to push around.
The Allergen Plus bags in the red packet filter very well. I've had no issues.

The direct air system deep cleans my carpets and it cleans close to the edge.
It's built like a tank and easy to service as i've stripped it down.

Ignore my previous comments about the Kirby I am now a convert :)

I just wish they would make a compact model with a 12" nozzle as it would make it easier to manouvre around obstacles in a smaller room.

Well well well. I'll be damned. I never thought I'd see the day when you would actually see the light and embrace the Kirby brand. You have to actually use one to appreciate it.

If you would like to have a compact Kirby with a smaller 12" head, get yourself a 500 series Kirby such as a 512 all the way up to the D80. These machines of yesteryear are small and light weighing only around 15 pounds or so and they are fantastic cleaners. I know this because I have a D50 made in 1965 and I believe it will match or beat any modern Dyson. These Kirby's frequently show up on ebay but there is one catch. Kirby did not start exporting their machines to the UK until the Classic series of the 1970's so they are all 120 volt machines. You would need a Step Down transformer 240 volts to 120 volts. These transformers are not very expensive.

Here are some pictures of my Dual Sanitronic 50 or D50 for short:

Thanks Stan. They are nice looking Kirby's 😊
I had a Heritage years ago the one with the red bag. I wish I kept it now. It was in mint condition.

Maybe I'll restore one sometime.

A D50 or D80

Will eat a Dyson for breakfast!!!LOL////Not nearly as much sealed suction, but moves more than twice the air, which is what cleans anyway.
