Umm... not going that direction

Sorry, its far to risky to wash these bags. Not happening.

I may turn it inside out, and vacuum it. But its not getting washed in a washer.


Its not really rock solid, I kind of exaggerated that. But it is like above- the bag stays upright when on, and not connected to the handle.

So wash it in the sink. I wash these bags all the time and haven't ever had a problem. Even my 561 bag went through the washer. All that came off of it was enough dirt and lint to choke the filter basket in the washer. The decal on the bag is surprisingly stout on the Kirby bags. They don't wash off like the Hoover bags do.

no I just dont want to risk it. I dont want to live with a tan bag on my kirby.

Nice 518, Brandon!!

I love the 500 series Kirbys, as well as the D-50, D-80, Classic and Classic III. All great machines! And so nice of Dave to give it to you! Looks like polishing it should be an easy job, as it already looks pretty nice. Just a little Mother's Mag and some terrycloth towels and you're all set! Congratulations,
