Hey everybody! Today’s been a really great day for me, because when we got to goodwill, I found a beautiful red, white, and blue sweater but more exciting for me, a Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled Ultra bagged vacuum! I tested it out before buying it and works great, all it needs is a new agitator belt and lightbulb. Surprisingly the only attachments it came with was the turbo brush and 2 wands, so luckily for me I had a spare brush, nozzle, and crevice tool that originally goes to this vacuum. Plus it needed a little wipe down with my moms homemade surface spray which does the job! And we also stopped at Walmart to buy type y bags.

I actually used to have something like this before back around 2001, except it was a toy version of this that my mom got for me at Toys’R’us when I was 5. I had fun playing with it till I got rid of it sometime around 2004. :/

Great find!

Those Windtunnels do an excellent job, and maintained properly, offer years of deep-cleaning. From personal experience, and from the looks of yours, I would recommend replacing both belts, and the brushroll, as the bristles on yours are worn down (on new brushrolls, the bristles are about twice as long). Because one belt drives the other, replacing both will ensure optimal performance.

Back in my vac shop days, we used a self-propelled Windtunnel to clean the store. We used it, because the carpet-cleaning performance was excellent, and it did a good job on the tile floors too! I hope you enjoy it!

Luxkid1980, it actually just needed to be wipe down a bit, a new lightbulb and agitator belt that I already ordered, and maybe soon a new brushroll. Thank you for checking out! I also remember when I was young I used to play with the 360 view where you spin the vacuum around, I’m not sure if you know what I am talking about but that was the good old Hoover website.
