And boy do I mean new, Has hardly been used.

I found this last week in a houseclearance shop and apart from a new belt, bag and filter its good as new.

Not that keen on it though due to its lack of power but I like it for sentimental reasons and my My Mums, Mum, Mum had one.

All I did on the outside was a light polish with some brasso.

that is so cool! I would kill to have a UK Lux upright in my collection that i could convert so i could just use it in my room!
 
Bah ya just need one of those things that works like an adaptor..voltage convertor.

if they do US to british style they'll do em in reverse =p

The Voltage issue is much easier for a lot of the US guys to get round than it is for us- Most US homes have at least one 220/240V connection for Cookers or Dryers, add an extension lead and away ya go ;)

that looks like the vac I've seen Graham Crowden's character Tom Ballard use on re-runs of the show "Waiting for God"
 
So Seamus, I see you won the Hoover Junior Compact on ebay ;p i'm slightly jealous considering it was buy it now and you got it for 40 quid :P ah well, that Lux 400 series upright is so mine =p
