So I went to my local vacuum store and I found this in the back a Dyson DC07 Animal from a trade in a few weeks ago some person came in and bought a uses Kirby Sentria 2. I have always wanted a DC07 because I remember being a little kid and seeing the commercial for one of these and thinking "wow that looks and sound really cool" I don't have any pictures of the vacuum from before but I can tell you it wasn't pretty! I'm really excited to have on the only downside is it's missing the original crevice tool but I plan to order on at some point. If someone could inform me on this vacuum I would appreciate it I'm not familiar with it other than the little I know from the commercial. I have used it once around the the house and I feel it did alright considering the age.

they traded a Dyson for a Kirby?

Makes you wonder why!!

I paid $25 for a DC07 once. worst $25 i ever spent. everything that could break snapped in half. I was like you, I wanted to see what the dyson hype was about. apparently it's about junk!

Haha

It was some young guy that heard about Kirby through his parents. The whole concept of Dysons bagless system always amazed me and if I'm honest still does.

iDyson DC07 has 330 AW of suction (most powerful Dyson they ever made) in terms of suction.
DC07 was launched in 2001.
DC07 animal comes with the stair tool, dusting brush and crevice tool along with a mini turbine head.
I prefer the crevice tool you have as it works better unless you are vacuuming the edges of rugs with that then the original crevice tool would help.

I had a DC07 animal-2007
DC07 Standard, non clutched British made-2001 X2
DC07 All floors (blue/silver) late model
DC07 Allergy (purple and lime green) X3, one was British made
DC07 Allergy (blue and purple) X2, one was British made, not sure about the other one.
Dyson Dc07 Origin which now belongs to a family member who loves it. They also have a DC01

DC07 is probably my second favourite Dyson (First favourite being the DC14)

I had that exact same Dyson!

It was a VERY good machine. I loved it! Unfortunately, I gave it away to my mom, who filed for divorce not too long ago. She now lives in a small apartment with no pets. So that Dyson Animal is too much vacuum for her. I wish that I could get her to buy a much cheaper vacuum for this reason!!

Parwaz, I can't believe you forgot TWO DC07s! The special-edition pink model and the Full-Kit! I'm a Kirby fan and even I know this!

Good for the young guy, he'll never need another vacuum!

Actually no, I was reffering to the DC07's I had/have. In the UK, there are 15 types of DC07 models whereas in he USA there is approx 7

Lol I would too, but It's only useful for vacuuming the edges of rigs in my opinion, but I would rather use a brush for curtains as that is better.

The only thing

Is that I need a new base and a few parts to replace down there such as the tab that holds in the pre motor filter and the clutch because I think the belts may be stretched... I'm still new to dyson as a whole so figuring out how to do all of this will be interesting..
