Hey everyone,
So here is my latest machine. It's a Hitachi Powerhouse CV1700 from about 1991ish. This belonged to my Great Aunt, and is the only one of these I have ever seen. It was used along side her Goblin Commander until about 6 years ago when she started having difficulty using the upright and started using the cylinder as her main. She's recently moved into a sheltered housing apartment and invested in a Dyson Stowaway, so I twocked this off her lol. It needs a clean, the hose has a very annoying kink in it which I can't seem to get rid of and the floorhead needs some attention but other than that it's top notch.
Hitachi are one of my favourites. I remember there being LOTS of the powerhouse uprights with the different coloured bumpers around when I was younger, but you don't tend to see them much anymore - the cream model with the stainless steel handle's are even rarer. Shame
Here are some snaps. I shall get some more and maybe a video done once I've cleaned it up a bit.
