My last two Hoover 63s ready for good homes

I've F I N A L L Y finished restoring the last two of what started out as five Hoover 63s. They've both been completely cleaned, rebuilt and refinished. All wearable parts have been replaced.

The machine on the left has an original bag that has been cleaned, carefully mended and given fresh graphics. The machine on the right has a completely new bag made with a combination of two different light weight denim fabrics. These provided the closest match to the original satin finished cotton. Graphics were made with iron-on transfer medium except for the circle logo on the original bag, which is hand embroidered.

Both have vintage replacement cords in very good to excellent condition.

A hose converter comes with each machine.

Marty those have to be the most beautiful restored machines I have ever seen. and the Denim bag... Now that is classy, Looks so original even with the iron on letters and logo. I would buy one in less than a second if I had the money to afford it.

That Lark

Fellow collector and dear friend, John Pease gave me a model 12 Lark several months ago. It was in need of some serious TLC.

The cord was brown AACK!, the bag was in a bad way, the little ball for the switch was missing. The entire rear cover plate for the switch was missing too, but we had found a replacement but were holding off installing it until we found a ball that would fit.

I finally pulled together all the parts I needed but none of them were the right color for the deep red and gray model 12. I had a perfect, light blue NOS bag for a 14, a white vinyl cord support and the rear cover plate was white as well.

The entire machine needed to be repainted so, on a whim, I decided to try my hand at a fun and wacky pattern that pulled all those colors together.

It's my new favorite toy! Now I'm on the hunt for the tool converter and the little plastic handle grip piece that attaches to the cross section of the handle bail.
