I have a few of those myself including but not limited to that nice Electrolux Olympia in background. Great machine, well built.
I have my Dual Sanitronic 50 in the works of re polishing and soon to come when I get time and parts, a Dual Sanitronic 80 I will keep in green but use older style fork handle & a spare lighted Kirby logo light hood of a 2nd D50 project. I will use a newer Kirby zipper bag for a HAPA bag conversion using a polished out Heritage Mini EmpTor.
Here's a pic of 3 regular use faves;
2011 Kirby G10D Sentria (latest version), 1965 Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 & 1993 Kirby G4D w/ early G10 upgrades including "F" style bag top using cloth HEPA bags
Before & after pics of the 512. Only had the motor unit, handle, and bag when I got it, didn't even know if it would run. But it polished up nice, and runs as good as it looks!

The bag on my 517 is not original. It is an aftermarket replacement that takes Eureka F & G paper bags. There is another thread on here that has 3 of them with original bags. They would be gray with Kirby in red in a circle. Wish I had one for my 517.

I thought I share a picture of my Kirby 517. I took the photo this summer in the back garden.
Don't worry I don't normally let it sunbathe....

James, what a beautiful 517! Thanks for sharing a picture of it.
I really want an Avalir very badly as I know it will really compliment my Heritage II Legend, but There's no way I can afford a brand new one. Sadly, I will need to wait a couple of years until I can get a nicely maintained used one on ebay.
Stan, I quite like this picture I took. I like how you can see the sun beams and the way the sun reflects off the Kirby. I took a few more pics as well.

You will have to let me know what you think of the Avalir when you see it in person. Especially when you have one.
I'm trying too be good with what I've been buying recently so once there out in my neck of the woods I can buy one. The video I found of the Avalir unveiling made me want one even more.

Wow, what a collection! I also own quite a few myself. I own the Kirby heritage 1, heritage 2, Kirby G3, G4, G5, and the ultimate g diamond edition. By the way, Hello James. It is Logan Huls. I signed up for this site.
Wait, Ben, you're saying that there is TWO Heritage II's? Kind od like the two different original Heritages? I have both Kirby Heritage and the Heritage 84. I only have one Heritage II. That is the heritage legend.
Yes. The original Heritage II was produced from 1984-87, whereas the slightly renamed Heritage II Legend, which did get some improvements to go with it, was produced from 1987-89. The same cleaner was then redone in maroon to become the Legend II from 1989-90 (to 1992 in export markets).
Furthermore, the very first Heritage IIs actually had the same nozzle casting design as the Heritage I.
could you check a thread for me? A gentleman is wondering if tools are available for a commercial Royal Everlast upright. It's in Contemporary, the thread is titled "Royal Everlast 8100 Attachments".
