I don't consider new rivets and new bearings or belts as "upgrades" just replacements to me there is a difference, but again that's just me. If you like the look of the LED's I get that it's a personal preference. The fact that they last longer is not a big deal to me, after all how much use will this vacuum see. "To each his own"

Good looking 511 Les with the original bag too....nice!

main reason was heat, but also the fact I can't just go to a store and buy incandescent bulbs anymore since they where phased out, which is why I tried the warm white sewing machine replacements

Interesting, they haven't been phased out here yet in the states, but maybe I should pick up a few extra just in case. Also, a 15-watt light if you can find one doesn't burn that hot to be a problem....good luck I hope you can find one that will work for you.

black bag and cord are ordered, I wont get rid of the white cord or bag, also have a spare 40w incandescent in the machine, and a rainbow belt for now as more soft style belts are on the way as well,

After a month of waiting for the new cord and bag, its all here and now my 509 is rocking that factory rebuild look unoffically (still needs a polish) maybe I kinda like the weathered look on it, I also realized this Kirby handle is so old it predates the hook you can turn to take all the cord off at once
