Well, I have just finished a major expansion and some minor renovations of my new Hoover section.

I have added a page of information and photos about my Model 541, and have divided the site into three pages, one for each model (475, 700 Special and 541).

I added a bunch of new video clips and replaced the ones I had had up there for the 475 and 700. I saved them in a different format -- MP3 instead of AVI -- which means the files are smaller and will load faster, but they may still pause or skip the first time you play them. If that's the case, just press play and they should run just fine the second time.

(Note that I get the best results with QuickTime as my default MP3 player, at least, on my Win-XP-Pro rig. Don't know about the Mac because it's still down.)

Comments welcome, pro - con or otherwise. If anyone catches any goofs or typos, don't be shy --- please let me know!

See link below.

Hope y'all enjoy it ---- that's why it's there. :)

Nice vacuums.I was surprized to hear the 541 to be quieter than the 475and700.But how did you get the speed on the 541 to go higher and lower?

Charles, the website is fantastic! I love your design! But the vacuums are spectacular. For some reason, the 541 videos don't work for me. Maybe it's just my computer. But another question: your Rexair section of your website is "still under construction." I am very excited to see it! When do you think it will be up and running?

Hey Charlie.

Wow that is incredible you have done an outstanding job. That is incredible. I wish I was as lucky as you to do what you have done...

Charles, another great addition to the already wonderful Hoover page! That sateen bag with the "handle slider" on the 541 is quite cool, and I didn't realize those were original...all of the 541s I've seen on eBay have had dark bags! I have to admit, the silk cord, bag, and wooden handle are very Model O-like. Of course that one looks more like farm machinery than anything else I've seen!

Darn! I really wanted to see them! Is it possible to change them to QuickTime? Does it open Windows Media Player for you, Charles?

And what about the Rexair page? I am getting a B, so I am excited to see what yours looks like!

The videos do play in Quicktime

I don't know about Windows Media Player. Why not get Quicktime? It's free--

Re the Rexair page, I hadn't thought about that in so long (like, 5 years??!) that I'd totally forgotten about it! And I don't even have the machine anymore - I believe it went with one of the garage cleanups but I'm not sure now. I guess I oughtta pull that page down...!

Ok, it was opening in WMP for me. Who knows! I guess I might just not have QuickTime!

And DARN about the Rexair page! Oh, well...Did you like the model B? As I said, I am getting one. I paid approximately $32 for it off eBay. It comes with a white hose (seemingly original or early replacement), some attachments, and the basin. I think that is it. Thanks Charles!

P.S. I haven't received the vacuum yet. I will probably post it when I get it.
