Hi everyone! Thought I would post my crazy obsession with GE hand mixers! I have rebuilt so many of these to the point that I can now say that I'm an expert at rebuilding them! I can take it completely apart, clean/wash/dry, take apart the motor, clean/wash motor, resemble in 2 hours! Hand polishing is extra time. I've done a red one and a pink one for friends as gifts! My friend Ryan loves his red one so much he uses it all the time! I'm more a fan of 5 speed hand mixers...love the Sunbeam Burst of powers, but these 3 speed GE's work great!!! The white one I named Crackers, obviously shown! Ha Ha! I felt sorry for him and Sammy fixed his crack! He's just got to be primed and repainted now! The red one is the one I rebuilt for my friend Ryan! Then the beige one is named Westley because I used so much Westley's white wall cleaner to remove 9 layers of grease from! In the process of using it, I discovered that it'll eat away screen printing! So, Sammy vinyl wrapped him for me in a cool kitchen cupboard wood grain shelf paper! Looks pretty cool! He was one of the worst mixers I've ever restored! I shared the pictures of his motor and his brushes we had to replace. We bought standard brushes and Sammy taught me how to sand them down correctly since you can't go back in time and order new ones! He does that a lot for all of his power tools he uses for work. The last picture is comparing Westley to Scotchy, which is what Westley used to look like! Hope you all enjoy the GE's!!!
