So I was looking around at a local flea Market the other day when I seen this machine sitting under a mans table I just had to have it.I thought he might want a pretty penny for it but I asked him and I paid 20 bucks for it and all it's attachments. It was in really nice condition but I polished and cleaned it up a little better hand washed the bag and wiped it down.I really was surprised that it does still have great Suction.I'm hoping that all the attachments are correct.I wasn't sure of it's year.It doesn't have a tool caddy on its back like some I've seen from the fifties.

Thank's it cleaned up nice. I thought it was a good price too.I'm not sure of the year though.I'm thinking 1930s.All the attachments seem to be there and the hose handle and cord is in nice shape and it sounds really good.I think it's an Electrolux XXX.I'm not totally sure yet.

Wow, she really is a beauty... I wonder how hard it would be to break into his house and get it...

Woops, I just thought that out loud didn't I ? Ha ha!

Year..

It is definately post WW2, The runners look flat, so it most likely a 46 or 47 model, somewhere about 48 or 49 is when the round runners came in, the rug tool is a little newer but not much. 49 or 50 I would say.

Regardless of the age, I'd give anything for that!

I wish the Vacuum Cleaner manufacturers would make some brand new old cleaners, just for us collectors!

I'd love to own my 1977 HOOVER Senior Ranger brand new!

I think it's the Electrolux xxx and I'm hoping all it's attachments are correct.Again sorry about the spots on my lens.I got a new camera just haven't had a chance to set it up yet.

You could take pictures of that with a VGA camera and it would still look stunning, don't worry about the spots at all!

Can you tell I have a soft spot for old Luxes ? :)

That would be awesome if they did make them again.I bet they would sell like Hotcakes. That's OK,LOL. I went crazy when I seen it it too.Especially since I THINK it's got all of it's original tools.I haven't cleaned them up yet though.

You can be sure it's a X X X , OH that's G E 's

YES, Tyson
It is a lux XXX. The hose of course is a replacement, but it is a Lux made replacement, from the 70's. The org. would have had a metal wand end. The
hose would have been gray with a black tracer in it or some variation of that.
All the tools are org. Except the one on the end of the Hose, not sure what
that goes to. If it is a floor brush type, I would say Eureka. The long white
Brush is a Wall brush, which is an extra purchase along the way. Could have
been screwed into extra floor tool, in the later 50's. By a lux sales person.
I have a XXX, with the attachment caddy, cord rewind, and sprayer. No org.
hose, but a newer torquise color (like the model L, 1970's) era. I hardley
ever use mine. It is the prize of my 50's line up. It will be one the very
last I will part with. Seemed like everyone had one when I was a kid in the
50's.

Oh yes, they would sell like hotcakes!

I'd probably (and I'm not joking) buy about two or three Rangers and leave them in the boxes never opened, then in about 60 years time when I'm an old man, sell them for lots of money and treat myself to something nice (like maybe an Electrolux XXX! Ha ha!)

I also have a model 30(XXX) and it is a 1949 model. Came with all of the original attachments, including the hose, although I did pay $70 for it. Surprisingly very quiet, and cleans pretty well too :)

Daniel :)
