Hey all, I recently got a convertible 34 special. This poor thing had really nasty paint.I know this baby could be restored! Tell me what you think. P.S. Thank you Chris for this vacuum.

Well let me tell ya, I bet I drove Marty Kaplan and Tom Anderson nuts with questions about how to paint one of these.
Thank you guys for the info. I have a few more converts to paint when I get the chsnce.

Thank you all

The color of trim is bittersweet orange and the base is pearl white this machine was from March 1964-January 1966 . The brand of paint I used is Sherman William's. I have a 1060 that need a touch up also but I will have to go to a Lowes or some place that will do a match with a laser because Sherman W. didn't think it would be easy to match that seal griege color on the 1060. I need to find a convertible special 32 and a 35 and I will have the complete convertible special set. HINT HINT

Excellent Work, Phillip!!

Wouldn't have known it was your FIRST paint job if you hadn't said so, it turned out BEAUTIFUL!! Congratulations on a job well done!

Why yes Rick I did paint the handle and bail also
The bag is great except for a few tears on the back down around the bottom but that quite alright with me. All the snaps work though. I think the hardest part with the whole thing was getting the bumper off and then back on.
