And the brushroll height is set to 2, so I have to set it to 1.
Brushroll is new so 1 should be the right setting.

Remember that Kirby's are designed to form a seal to the carpet and draw air up through the carpet. So a rubber backed rug will affect the Kirby's performance.

Yes I understand it. My low pile rug is just for surface pick-up testing. I have three shag rugs, that I keep on my floors. For those Kirby is fantastic. Height adjustment and self propelled mode do a world of difference. My other vacuums don't work so well on shag.
