Never thought I'd own a Hoover, but with this avocado green Ranger U4014 I just couln't resist. :-)))
It has unusual cleaning tools, too (1077-003).

But: The handle is very wobbly, somehow I feel the screw is the wrong one or some parts may be missing. Who can tell me how to tighten the handle the correct way?

Thanks
Joe

Nice !

Hi Joe

Somehow you have a US tool set there- the non stretchy hose and the telescopic extension tube are the 2 things that give it away lol!

The bellows just lip over the flange - although its a good idea to run some glue round there I think.

The handle screw / nut setup is wrong- will take a pic of mine when I get home later.

I believe that should be a UK built machine, the serial number should be U4014 followed by numbers- the 1st is the year and the next 2 the month it left Perivale

Cheers

Seamus

hi Seamus,
that's ABSOLUTELY right!
On the machine it says: U401470208203, made in Great Britain by HOOVER Ltd.
On the tools' box it says: "made in USA"

You're a pro, indeed. Looking forward to those pics!
Thank you for taking the time.
Joe
