Having a busy start to the school year, along with having 3 part time jobs (That includes my vacuum selling business), finishing Boy Scouts, practicing piano, and keeping up with vacuuming the house, I struggle to find enough time to buy new vacuums, ones that are special. Well, before the summer ended, I posted a wanted ad looking for certain vacuums, and wouldn't you know, somebody had an Air-Way 66 for $20! Of course, I couldn't brush that one off. Ever since I DIDN'T take that Air-Way that the vacuum shop offered me (I was ONLY interested in Fantoms 4 years ago), I deeply regretted that. Doesn't that happen to everybody? Well anyway, the seller was a very nice appliance collector, and he used to collect vacuums! He also had an Electrolux, and a 1940's Royal upright for sale. Unfortunately, I really need to stick to machines I am looking for.
Anyway, here is my Air-Way, and it's wonderful! Very well made, quiet and very good airflow! It came with extra bags, but they were the newer one layer paper bags, so I converted this to use HEPA bags. A am very pleased. I love vintage straight suction canisters! Once I restore my Hoover Constellation 858 and Lewyt, I'll take a "Family Photograph"
- Forgive the photo, I had the camera on a bad setting to take this photo.
