Re: The Robot vacuums

Sorry, I'm kinda late jumping in with this one. I have a brochure at home for the Robot vac (Hoover Junior style) posted above. I will post this when I'm home from work later. I believe it was sold as a commercial machine and not widely available.

loved by that Queen Lady her self what's her name ?

Queen Elizabeth II.

Both Hoover and Electrolux used to carry the royal warrant. Hoover for supplies of carpet cleaners and laundry equipment and Electrolux for the supply of suction cleaners to Buckingham Palace.

Dan, one of the Kirby's in my collection . . .

. . . that I give high marks to is the Ultimate G Diamond Edition. Kirby took it's forerunner, the Ultimate G, and smoothed out the jerkiness of the transmission from G's 1-6. With a smoother transmission and adding the two-speed switch (which I hardly used)made for a great machine up to the introduction of the Sentria line. I'm not particularly fond of the bland gray color, but the diamond pattern on the bag is nice. I do like the yellow accents on the G6, Ultimate G, and the Diamond.

Joseph your Kirby is beautiful

I absolutely LOVE the Diamond Edition with the two speed switch the low speed is a must for light weight rugs and if only the regular consumer knew how to use the switch it would still be available but we will have to wait until the redesigned Kirby arrives as the switch will be fingertip and will feature two or even multiple speeds .

Hey Dan

Going back to your nib sentria, you said you found a surprise inside the box you forgot you put in there.
What was it?
Thanks,
Alphonse

Joe that's another

Beauty I did the same with all my older NIB Kirbys with the old style emptor I just replaced them and put bags back in the box .

I did that to a G5 I used to use and the airflow and pickup were greatly improved it an easy worth while upgrade . I so love to see proper restorations where the machines look brand new that's the only way to do a restoration .

I like it!! 😁 I like it 😛

Very nice! I love the fact that you use all them at one point but not all at once. Must be the reason your carpets are always so clean & I can never find a spot of dust on the tv cabinet on every avatar you posted! Great housekeeper you have!

I love that Royal!

I love my 1992 Anniversary Edition with matching Dirt Devil Can Vac. I personally prefer Royals over Kirbys. For me, they clean better and are much lighter, making them easier to handle. When I'm out on my own, i'll probably buy a new Everlast.

I must agree with you about Royal uprights! To me, I think of them as a turbo charged 500 series Kirby, in the sense that they weigh about the same, yet they have much more suction & airflow, better brushroll with stiffeners that groom the carpet better, & a better bag system that doesn't have the Mini Emtor design that Kirby uses that can sometimes trap dirt. The only disadvantages is that converting to tools is harder to do, & you can't convert it to do other jobs like shampooing carpets like you can a Kirby. But considering a new Royal sells for 1/3 the cost of a new Kirby Avalir, & you don't have to sit thru a demonstration just to get one, I would gladly buy the Royal over the Kirby.

Nice job!!

And just look at that furniture not a spec of dust & the carpet looks just like it's had a shampoo...I can hear the whip being cracked a lot...LOL. Poor Kimmy hehehe (scrub that carpet & don't even think about using the HOOVER Spin Scrub, get on your hands & knees & no break until the entire house is done....TWICE!!!) LMAO I know she loves you a lot, it shows in her work!!
