Nope not another HOOVER

This time it's a Kenmore Progressive not ugly red but burnt sienna instead . I'm a poet and don't even know it 😜 .

Dual suction hoses in nozzle for even suction across entire nozzle . Brand new just tried for first time tonight had this for years it was in pool house closet in very back .

Sean it was a very ugly

Vacuum it didn't last long at all so I have no idea what they were thinking .

I'm so glad your enjoying my thread thank you , My wish for you one day you can beat me and have way more machines than I do and own all your dream vacuums .

No NIB Fantoms I only like the thunder and Kenmore Destiny they were Fantoms best machines .

I'm still debating buying a Sirena , although I have many water vacuums do you love your Sirena ?

Dan

Still not a HOOVER ;)

Went to my late Uncle Harry and aunt Jo's and went through the attic and found this and another vacuum I had no idea they even owned .
But from the looks of them they haven't been used if at all .

Found this Rainbow D but it's weird in that it has no serial number guess I will never know why either also has an odd nozzle I have never seen before .

Dan, that is a very nice rainbow and that head is an earlier version before they added the vents. Many believe that this head is far supperior to the vented one.

Bet you thought this was gonna be a HOOVER ;)

Well it's not ...

It's a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 brand new even has the K40 tag on the bag not a spec of dirt in the bag or anywhere on the machine . This was vacuum number two sitting in my late Aunt Jo's and Uncle Harry's attic . Another mystery that I will never know how or why these vacuums were in their attic because they knew I was a vacuum collector and they never mentioned these vacuums as I only knew about their HOOVERS and Orecks . Looks to be purchased and set into the attic and no other attachments or parts are around I have still yet to find the manual . It's just another special surprise gift from my Aunt and Uncle .

You guessed it right still not a HOOVER 😜

Something much better instead 😜

My moms 1st out of two Kirby vacuums she has owned and disliked .

Mint like new very well kept as all of my family members machines are Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 in the gracious green color of the late 60's .

Used sparingly only for deep cleanings she prefered her HOOVER convertible to Kirby .

Dan, that's a nice D80 you have there. My D80 is one of the favorites in my collection because it is the last model of the smaller Kirbys, and the green color makes it a singular model with that color of any Kirby. Some people hate that color, and others such as I love it. Let's remember that when this model hit production in the late 60s, avocado green was all over the place in kitchen and laundry appliances, and let's not forget all the avocado green popcorn carpeting.

My D80 was refurbished by Kent Oyler. Kent also put a bank on the back of the handle and painted it a green that perfectly matches the green trim of the vac. The only way this model could have been better would be if Kirby had included a lighted emblem like on the D50, which I also have.

It is amazing!!!
