Eh, Kirby isn't so good at keeping a secret. Look how many of you are speculating on their maybe upcoming new model. Sears just sprang a new Elite canister model on the public with absolutely no warning and nobody knowing it was coming. Don't kid yourself, Kenmore has it's ardent followers too. Heck, our little Sears doesn't even have one yet, and no information either, but they are all over ebay.

But its JUST

Speculation nothing is definitive . Not one person knows for sure about anything Kirby is doing . I know people at the factory and heads of Kirby and they aren't telling me anything but the new Kirby will revolutionize the home care industry as they always have .

I have the new Kenmore Elite its still in the box I will open it up soon and post pictures .

D.T, don't get me wrong, I'm a Sears fanatic, too! I really like that new Elite upright they released, but the canister is a bulky mess. Their lower-tier uprights seem fun, too! I was excited walking into that Sears and seeing those new uprights, i even started a thread on the Elite!

I think Panasonic's canisters are better sorted than Kenmore's, and for the money there is no argument which one to buy. What I would like to suss out is whether the new motor Kenmore is so proud of is shared by the TOL Panasonic canister. The MC-CG937 appears to have all the good features of the new Kenmore Elite and none of the drawbacks, but who knows what motor it has?

DT - I tried to do the same thing - what I would do is look up the part # on searspartsdirect.com and then search google and ebay, crossing my fingers someone selling the motor posted decent enough photos. The best I learned is that one of the kenmore models used a motor made by matsushita - I don't remember if that was one with the new "3D inducer motor" or not.

There have been tons of manufacturers for Kenmores!

To name a few: Panasonic, Douglas, LG, Eureka, Fantom, Whirlpool, Singer and the original Sears brand. I think Hoover may have designed their blue Kenmore carpet water extractor, but i'm not sure.

Oh I know that!

I was just showing that Kenmore has had many vacuum cleaners manufacture their vacuums. I think some of the lower end Kenmore uprights are made by King Clean (TTI) now.

The Blue Kenmore bagless with the headlight looked nice

I saw one at Sears, for $90 or so. For what it was, It looked nice. Decent Hepa filter, and better built than the cheaper Eureka Airspeed. I like the color. I am glad that Kenmore is steering away from their awful single-cyclone machines from the past, and replacing them with dual, and multi cyclonic machines. I was VERY tempted to buy the new Purple Kenmore Bagless Canister. It looked beautiful in the store. Maybe when I sell some more vacuums......

If you find any old Electrolux metal tanks like that , let me know , would love to buy it from you :)

Daniel, do U have any model G or 1205-Silverado NIB/MIB? I'd take any of them

I haven't purchased

A Eureka in a while and I found this NIB Air speed ultra for $35.00 and thought what the heck .

Very light feels like less than an Oreck but the carpet cleaning results were minimal I know my carpets
are very clean I think it pulled out a teaspoon of dirt if that . The brush roll is too soft which hinders cleaning ability .

Very noisey and seems rather fragile for what this sells for I'd rather buy a Hoover they are much better built and clean so much better .
